CAMPUS DIRECTORSJeff and Sara began their Chi Alpha journey as CMITs at Montana State University in Bozeman. Jeff graduated from William Jewell College and later earned both his M.Div. and D.Min. from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Sara graduated from Missouri State University. Over the past three decades, they have served in a variety of leadership roles within Chi Alpha, including local director at The Ohio State University, Indiana District Director, Great Lakes Region Director, and most recently as part of the national leadership team. In 2025, they sensed a renewed call to return to local campus ministry and stepped into the role of co-directors at Indy Chi Alpha. Jeff is passionate about caring for students, supporting leaders, and mobilizing communities for Jesus. Sara brings warmth, wisdom and a gift for discipleship, creating spaces where students can encounter God and grow in community. Jeff loves a good theological conversation, walking his neighborhood with Sara, and cheering on the Buckeyes. Sara enjoys deep friendships, meaningful hospitality, and sharing Jesus through everyday moments.

MISSIONS ASSOCIATE AND VOLUNTEER
Carter graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2022 with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Music Studies. As a student, his heart was radically transformed by Jesus through his Chi Alpha core group. At a Chi Alpha conference during his last year of undergraduate studies, he felt God calling him to forgo grad school and become a missionary. He went on to complete the Campus Missionary in Training program after graduation and stay on staff the following year. After prayerful consideration, he decided to join the team in Indy starting in 2024. When he’s not attempting to cook a dish from every country, Carter loves watching hockey and playing chess!To support Carter financially, click here

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Deanna graduated from IUPUI in 2013 with a degree in ASL-English interpretation. Her and her husband Chad-Michael were effectively leading an outreach ministry to the neighborhoods of the east side of Indy when the Lord began to stir their hearts for campus ministry. While at Missouri State Chi Alpha as the special speakers for their missions week, Chad-Michael and Deanna fell in love with Chi Alpha culture. After hearing that their longtime friends, the Sousas, were starting a Chi Alpha in Indianapolis, God began to bring everything together. Deanna loves reading and calligraphy.
The Temples have three children: Emory, Lou, and Aniston.

MISSIONS ASSOCIATE AND VOLUNTEER
Claire (Brownsburg, IN) and Jarrod (Indianapolis, IN) met as students in Chi Alpha at Indiana University – Bloomington, the place where the two would also receive their undergraduate degrees. Claire graduated with a B.S. in Business Management, and Jarrod graduated with a B.S. in Secondary Science Education. During their time at IU, both Claire and Jarrod were transformed by Jesus through Chi Alpha. Each of them were student core group leaders who grew great passions for discipleship. After graduating from IU, Claire and Jarrod made the decision to complete the Campus Missionary in Training (CMIT) internship at Indiana University – Bloomington, with the plans of joining the pioneering team in Indianapolis once they had received their ministerial training. Claire and Jarrod have been married since November of 2021, adore the city of Indianapolis, enjoy traveling and camping, and love their Pitbull Bruno!

MISSIONS ASSOCIATE
Lucy graduated from Indiana University-Indianapolis in 2025 with a degree in Sustainability. She joined Chi Alpha during her sophomore year, where she encountered the Lord in a life-changing way. During her junior year, God placed a call on her heart to become a missionary. He then led her to Anchorage, Alaska, where she completed a year-long Campus Missionary in Training internship with Chi Alpha. After a year that was both challenging and deeply rewarding, Lucy is excited to return to the campus where her own faith journey was transformed and to continue sharing the love of Jesus with college students.

CAREER ASSOCIATE AND VOLUNTEERBen and Aanna met as students in Chi Alpha at Missouri State University. Each came to college with prior inklings of a general call to ministry, but through Chi Alpha that was developed as responsibility was given and alongside encouragement and accountability to make disciples who make disciples. A long-held desire to be a part of Christ impacting the lives of people around them became a real focus of each of their lives as they lived in community on mission. This impact led to a specified call to continue reaching university students through Chi Alpha when they were done with school. They completed the Chi Alpha internship program together at Missouri State University and by the end, committed to the team pioneering in Indianapolis! They love their beautiful children, Sabina and Callum, music, goofy humor, and spoiling their pup, Maggie.
